As I'm in the gentry class I like to keep up with the fashion. I usually wear silk stockings and short breeches that are tied up whith ribbons that hang down to my ankles. I have a long vest and jacket that I wear over my shirt. I also wear a long piece of linen around my neck called a stock. My shoes are strait like everybody elses, and very uncomfortable. In the winter I wear leather leggings, wool mittens, and an overcoat.

Job
I am a British general, and I won more battles than I lost. I was second in command when we won at Brooklyn. I was first in command when we won at Brandywine, Monmouth, and Charleston. The battles that I was beaten at were Kings Mountain, Camden, and Cowpens.

A famous battle that I lost was at Yorktown, Virginia against America which was led by General Washington. This was the last major battle of the Revolution. During the offical ceremony marking my surrender, our military band played a popular tune called "The World Turned Upside Down."
If buttercups buzzed after the bee,In response, the Continental military band played "Yankee Doodle"-- a song we had once sung to make fun of the colonists. But the colonists liked it and sang it with pride.
If boats were on land, churches on sea . . .
If summer were spring and the other way round,
Then all the world would be upside down.
