Clue #2

My little brother, "Baby Brother," died when I was seven due to a fever. At the age of 15, I lived in a cottage with my family that my master owned. My master also owned many slaves and indentured servants but he treated them all with kindness and respect. As I got older I developed a desire for freedom. Then I became a big problem for my master, since I frequently wandered from my duties and paid no attention. At the age of 16, I got so bad that I got sold to Deacon William Brown also of Framingham, Massachusetts.

Clue #3

When I was sold to Deacon William Brown,  I worked in his chanlern. At the age of 26, I took a business trip to Boston and there I secretly applied as a whaler. I chose a ship that I knew wouldn't return to Boston in the near future, in case Deacon Brown searched for me. Often my ship would land in ports not far from Framingham. Then I would sneak out at night to visit my family.
