Who am I? Find
out right here! Follow the clues, starting with Clue #1.
I was born in 1755 and I was the sixth born
of ten siblings. My family had a pretty average amount of money but rich in
a way. I was one of the most popular people in New Haven and most of the girls
there were in love with me. I spent most of my early years as a teacher teaching
people of all ages.
I was an American Patriot and one of the
head commanders in General George Washington's army.
I was commissioned as captain in the Continental
Army in 1775.

General George Washington sent me to cross enemy lines to spy
and to gather information as to the strengths and plans of the British. But
they captured me. They took me away and I didn't know what was going to happen
to me next.
Now
I will show you pictures of what my house looked like. |

This is my fireplace. It was the main heating source in my home. |
The redcoats kept me a prisoner of war until September 22, 1776. On that day I was to be hung in a place which is now New York's Third Avenue and Sixty-fifth Street. My famous last words were:
"I have only to regret that I have but one life to lose for my country."
Even though I died at a young age, I played a vital role in
our war against the British.
