Clue #1

I wear long dresses, mobcaps, and aprons.  Most of my dresses are just plain old white, but some of them are different colors.  One of my favorite ones I dyed blue with indigo.  I would never go out without my mobcap, especially in the winter.  We wear corsets to make us look very skinny with our huge hoop skirts.  My shoes don't have a right and left, so it doesn't matter what foot I put them on!

Clue #2

Everyone is talking about war and it's worrying me.  What if my family or I get hurt?  I really don't think it is fair that the men get to serve for our country and women don't.  I wish that I could do something to help if we really do have war.

Clue #3

A couple of weeks ago I went to the store to buy five pounds of flour and I had to pay the store about six pennyweights.  When I got home I made cornbread and soup for dinner.  The reason I made corn bread is because corn is very popular here and wheat isn't.

Clue #4

April 26, 1777 I got a knock at my door by a messenger.   He needed someone to spread the alarm that the redcoats were coming.  I said I would go and then off I went on my horse.  I spread the message by shouting,"Muster at Ludingtons!"

Clue #5

I am known as a female Paul Revere. When I was only sixteen, I went on a midnight ride in the village of Danbury, New York. I warned the people that the redcoats were coming, just like Paul Revere did.
