The main objective of the School Accountability Report Card (SARC) is to inform the local school community about conditions and progress being made at each local school site. Components addressed include: School Profile and Location, Student Success, School Staff, Spending/Finance Student Population by Grade level and Ethnicity, Class Size and teaching Loads, Learning Environment, Facilities, District Demographic Information and School Safety.

API
The California Academic Performance Index (API) is the centerpiece of the statewide accountability sytstem in California Public education. The Public School Accountability Act requires that the California Deparment of Education annually calculate APUs for California public schools, and publish school rankings based on these indices.
STARThe SAT-9 is a Norm-reference test and is a part of the California Standardized Testing and Reporting Program (STAR). The SAT-9 is given every spring to students in grades 2 through 8 and compares a student's performance to that of a large norm group of students around the country taking the test. The national sample for the SAT norms is composed of students from diverse geographical regions and varying school sizes. SAT is also a standardized test. It has directions, time limits, materials, and scoring procedures designed to remain constant each time the test is administered. The subject areas measured by the SAT-9 include reading, mathematics, writen expression and spelling.
