    Dear CT Parents/Guardians:

    Thoughts from Tuesday Night:

You are going to see significant work begin on the gym/community center complex.  We have received the approval for the demolition of the burned section and the repair of the gym.  Contracts have now been awarded for the projects.  It will likely be loud and messy, but I am good with that!

The burned section of the building will be razed and considerations of exactly how and where we restore those portions of the building are to be determined in a full planning process.  The repairs to the roof, support beams, sound proofing material, electrical systems, and potentially the floor will likely take through early July, with occupancy inspections following closely behind.  We are looking forward to the return of functionality of our gym for the next school year. We do not anticipate using the gym for summer camps or community programs this summer, but do expect to move back in before school begins in the Fall.

The District is engaged in a full facilities master planning process which will include input on the community center and classroom spaces displaced by the fire.  Please join us on Thursday, April 28th, at 6:30 in the Loma Forum to offer your input to the ten-year plan for campuses on both sides of Summit Road.

    Graduation update:

Since the gym will not be ready in time for CT Graduation, the ceremony will be held on the blacktop area behind CT.  This is a location that has been used previously and provides a wonderful mountain backdrop for this important event.  The weather will likely be warm and families should plan to be in the sun for about an hour.

Spring Thank You! – Please save the date!

Our annual Volunteer Tea is set for Wednesday, May 11th.  We hope you will attend!  There are so many families who have given time and/or resources to keep our schools strong.  The teachers and students from both Loma and CT are preparing a “thank you” event to be held in the Loma Forum from 12:30-1:30.  We’d love for you to come.  No RSVP’s necessary!  Please join us!

From the Our Amazing HSC’s: Calling All Parents:

It's that time of year again, to pamper our hard-working teachers!!!  Let's show them how much we appreciate them, and all that they do by throwing them a wonderful SPA DAY!  Friday, May 6th the Loma Forum will be transformed into a "super zen den” so all the staff can relax and enjoy.

Below is a link to sign up to bring something, offer your time to set up, or clean up.  This is a fairly large event, so all hands on deck is appreciated, not to mention it's fun to set up.

Wait until you see how the space is transformed into a tranquil sanctuary!  The teachers love this event, and we love hosting the event for them!

All items must be delivered to the Loma Forum by 2:30pm on May 6th, we will have a table set up at Loma & CT drop off in the morning to make it convenient for quick drop off.  Any dishes will be washed and left on a table at the entry to the Loma Forum by following Monday morning.

    For 8th Grade Parents:

An Invitation from the Los Gatos High School Music Boosters:  If your student is interested in joining the LGHS Marching/Concert Bands next year, we'd really like you (parents and students) to come to our New Family Information Night on Tuesday, May 3, 6:30 PM in the LGHS Band Room (at the end of High School Court).  Music at the High School is a big deal and can seem intimidating, but it's really fun and we are here to help!  We will be presenting crucial information to get you ready for next year, including:

    •    Overview of the Marching and Concert programs

    •    Details about Band Camp (Aug 1-12)

    •    Fall Schedule

    •    Program Shared Costs

    •    How you can help as part of the Music Boosters

We will hand out and review your Signup Packets, which contain essential forms and information, at the meeting.  Please be there!
