Thoughts from Tuesday Night
Dear Loma and CT Parents:
Please join us in celebrating the end of your child’s school year. Both schools will be hosting “Open House” Thursday night. Your students’ work will be showcased and there is much to be proud of in every classroom. Loma’s Open House runs from 6:30 - 8:00 pm and begins in the outdoor amphitheater behind the Forum. CT’s Open House runs from 7:00 - 8:30 pm and begins in the quad. There should be plenty of time to see your child’s current classroom and get a sneak peek in for the year ahead. It will be a festive evening, and we hope you will be there.
Parents of incoming 6th Graders
Your students toured CT today and got to meet many of their new peers. You are invited to a brief overview of 6th grade designed for parents (students welcome) on Thursday evening before Open House. The program will begin at 6:00 pm and offer you a preview of 6th grade classrooms before CT’s event begins. Please join us in the CT quad at 6:00 pm.
Important Safety Reminder
Please do not bring your dog on campus without permission. Even ordinarily gentle dogs can become excited and bite. Unfortunately, we had a dog bite on campus during parent pickup last week. This was a preventable injury. Staff has been instructed to notify district personnel immediately if they see a dog on campus. We will contact animal control if necessary. Service dogs, and service dogs in training, are always welcome. On the rare occasion that a pet is part of a classroom activity, the staff is informed.
LOMA HSC HICKLEBEE'S BOOK FAIR 2016
Tuesday - Thursday, May 24-26th
We're bringing Willow Glen's historic little bookshop to the mountains again! Join us this coming week for a fabulous book fair celebrating all things reading!
The Book Fair runs Tu- Th, May 24-26, including during Open House, located in the Music Portable between Loma and CT.
We're still looking for a couple more volunteers! This event is well loved by your kids, and is a great time to stock up on books for your summer vacation! This event is completely staffed by volunteers, so if you can spare an hour or two next week, we would really appreciate the help. We need help during the school day for class walk-thrus (where your child gets to visit and take a sneak peek at their favorite books. We especially need help for Wed afternoon. Volunteers will help provide supervision and assistance, and cashiering, if you are comfortable. You can email firstname.lastname@example.org for any questions.

6th grade parents
Parents of current sixth graders, we need a copy of your students Tdap booster vaccination. Please see the attached letter for all incoming 7th graders.
CT Lost & Found!!!!
The CT Lost & Found pile has become quite huge. Are your students missing lunchboxes, water bottles, sweatshirts, etc? We even have a few socks and other weird items. Please come look and take a load off our burden! The Lost & Found will be displayed out in front of CT the rest of the week and for Open House on May 26.
Out of 209 students, 190 yearbooks were ordered at beginning of the year. If you are unsure whether you ordered a yearbook for your student, please ask them to check the list on the office window. Thank you to parents who pre-ordered. If you were unable to pre-order we have a limited number of yearbooks still available. Please see the flyer attached or come into the office as soon as possible to purchase your CT yearbook.
CT Snack Shack
The last day for CT Snack Shack will be this Thursday May 26. Please remember to send your student to school with a water bottle plus lunch for the last two weeks of school (May 31-June7). Unless you are on the Free & reduced lunch program, no other lunch services will be provided!!
