Hi there!!!! I am thrilled to be teaching science here at CT.
After being born in Germany, and growing up in San Jose, I received my B.S. in Marine Biology from Occidental College. I discovered that I preferred taking students out on our research vessel to counting fish, so I stayed at Occidental (Go Tigers!) for my teaching credential. I've taught Kindergarten through 6th grade in Los Angeles, Cupertino, and at Loma, with a quick year off to be a school librarian in San Jose. I've also been a math coach and assessment support teacher. This is my 33rd year in education!
A few of my favorite things are funny books, hiking, kayaking, and corny jokes....and I collect unusually shaped paper clips.
Please stop by Room 9 to introduce yourself, and tell me a joke!
