Dear Loma Parents:
My Top Three Moments of the Week
- Watching the 5thgraders practice their awesome flash mob dance to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”
- Having the honor of judging the CT costume contest. There were some super funny, scary, and original costumes!
- Checking out the donut-on-a-string contest in Mrs. Templeton’s kindergarten class. It was the cutest moment of my Halloween day!
I hope you all have a fun and safe Halloween!
Sincerely,
Karren Zook, Principal

Building Developmental Assets in School Communities
It takes a special mountain to raise a child. With this in mind, you are cordially invited to join me in a vibrant community conversation regarding what our mountain can do to continue intentionally raising healthy, successful children. Clay Roberts, a nationally recognized author speaker and consultant will be on hand to guide us in this endeavor. He will share researched-based strategies for how our community can become more deliberate in helping our young people success.
Thursday, November 1st, 6:30-8:30pm; Loma forum.
Paul’s Construction Corner
Our reconstruction project is continuously moving forward. Wing A’s roof is completed and water tight and the windows have been installed. The doors have arrived, and the exterior doors are installed. The stucco contractor has completed lathing Wing A and brought in the batch plant silo. It contains an engineered stucco mix that is approved by the DSA (Division of State Architect) and will create a consistent mix every time a batch of stucco is made.
Wing B’s roof frame is complete, and the contractor has started to sheet the roof. Once the sheeting is complete, a sheet inspection will take place and then the roofing will be installed. We now are currently 187 days into construction and have had zero injuries during this project.
