Dear Loma Families,
My Top Three Moments of the Week
- Working on an interesting and messy erosion experiment with 2nd graders in Mrs. Ignoffo’s science class. Hands-on science at its best!
- Feeling incredibly proud of all our amazing runners at the 32nd annual Jog-A-Thon. It is truly my favorite day every year!
- Seeing 5th graders in George Washington wigs as they took “A Walk Through the American Revolution.” What a fun learning experience!

Donations of any amount are welcome and our focus this year is hitting our goal while increasing the number of families participating. Thank you to those that have already contributed. Our deadline for KEEP! donations is the end of June and we are looking forward to seeing more donations roll in. Please consider donating today at https://www.lpef.org/donate-now.

Scoliosis Screening (May 9th)
Stanford Children’s Health Children’s Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center will conduct scoliosis screening for our 5th through 8th grade students on Thursday, May 9th. The screening takes about 1 minute per students and should have very little effect on the schedule for the day. Please see the attached flyer for more details. Our thanks to Linda Hopkins, Loma and CT Health and Safety Clerk, for arranging this important screening. If you would prefer that your child does not undergo this screening, the third page of the attached flyer should be completed and returned to your child’s classroom teacher/first period teacher.

Urgent Art-in-Action Needs You
Natalie and Tina have been the At-in-Action Coordinators for the past few years and are moving on to the middle school. That leaves a need for a School Coordinator for At-in-Action. It is an easy position and can be done with 1 or 2 parents. One handle supplies and orders, and the other can handle volunteer coordination. If you are interested in either of these positions, PLEASE contact one of them. Orders must be placed by the end of the week and now is the ideal time to learn the process. Email Tina at firstname.lastname@example.org Natalie at email@example.com
