    Dear Loma Families:

My Top Three Moments of the Week

    1. Learning all about the American flag from the CT Leo’s Club at the Loma assembly.
    2. Singing, “This Land is Your Land, This Land is My Land,” with our fabulous first graders.
    3. Cheering on the teams at the semi-finals of Coach’s Lunch Bunch basketball tournament.

    Open House (5/23)

All families are invited to join us for Open House this Thursday evening.  Loma’s Open House will start at 6:30pm and CT’s will start at 7pm. Hope to see you there!

    6th Grade Orientation (5/23)

All Fifth Grade Parents are invited to our 6th grade Orientation. This orientation will take place in the new classroom 21 (near the gym), on Thursday, May 23, at 6pm. We will be presenting information regarding expectations and realities of 6th grade.

    Seeking School Site Council Members

The School Site Council (SSC) is a group of teachersparents, and staff, from both CT and Loma, who works with the principal to develop, review and inform decisions and advise on academics, parent engagement, safety and school climate.  Please email Karren Zook (k.zook@loma.k12.ca.us) if you would like to learn more and get involved.

    KEEP! Update

We have seen a significant increase in KEEP! activity over the past week! THANK YOU to all who have donated, volunteered your precious time and shared your thoughts. To date 93 families have donated (up from 26 families last week) and our current total is $74,000 (up from $25,000 last week). This is fantastic momentum and we need to KEEP! (see what we did there) it up in order to hit our goal of $200,000 and 100% participation (through donations or by volunteering your time) by June 30th. Please make your donation today at https://www.lpef.org/donate.

Big thanks to Mark Smith from Victoria Capital Mortgage (http://marksmithloans.com), Peninsula Builders (http://www.peninsulabuildersinc.com) and Kramer Development (http://www.kramerpdc.com/) for participating in our matching donation challenge earlier this week and doubling our impact. We appreciate your support!

    Mountain Jam 2019

Mountain Jam will be held again this year on Saturday, September 7th in the Loma Prieta Playfield and Gazebo. Mountain Jam is a free family music festival and picnic that features local bands and individual performances by your mountain musicians and vocalists. Proceeds from sale of the silent auction items and concessions directly benefit the music program at CT and Loma.
