    Dear Loma Families:

My Top Three Moments of the Week

    1. Enjoying seeing happy kids playing in the SUN!
    2. Hearing about all the fun CT had on beach day! It is so fun seeing all the boogie boards propped-up outside classrooms. What a very Californian sight!
    3. Celebrating another great Jog-A-Thon at the awards assembly today. Our school ran over 8000 laps this year!

KEEP! Update - 4 Weeks to Go!!

The momentum is continuing with four weeks to go! To date, 124 families have donated (up from 93 families last week), and our current total is $95,500 (up from $74,000 last week). In order to keep the amazing programs our kids enjoy, (music, P.E, library services, support services, Loma science, C.T. electives and Art in Action), we need to hit our goal of $200,000 by June 30th. Don't delay, make your donation today at https://www.lpef.org/donate

    Loma Prieta Firemans' BBQ

Loma Prieta Join Us for our 56TH Annual Firefighters BBQ fundraiser on Sunday, June 2nd, 2019, starting 11am until 4pm.  This is a Santa Cruz mountain tradition with great BBQ for purchase, lots of games for the kids, raffles for goods and services, and even a grand prize raffle for a family vacation, going on all day.  There will be a variety of fire engines from Santa Cruz County and CAL FIRE, air ambulance and rescue helicopters, and even an auto extrication demonstration.  The Sheriff's Department, Summit CERT, CAL FIRE and the Fire Safe Council will all have a display there.  Each dollar earned and donated during this annual BBQ raises the operating funds for the fire department so that they can continue servicing the local community.  The volunteer firefighters drop whatever they are doing in their private lives to respond to wildland and structure fires, medical aids and even vehicle accidents on Highway 17, every day of the year.
