Dear Loma Families:
During the spring closures and shelter in place, it felt like time stood still. Those months felt like the longest I can remember. We’ve been in distance learning for 4 weeks now and I can’t believe how quickly these weeks have passed by. We can see blue sky for the first time in weeks, the air has cleared up and we can breathe outside. I will relish it as I am sure you will too since it might be short lived.
Now that we have reached 4 weeks of the new school year, I want to check in with all of you. I am including a brief 10 question survey. Your feedback is important to us as we continue to make adjustments to meet the needs of our learners. CT & Loma Special Education Parent Information Night- September 24th 6-7pm
District Special Education Parent Information Night will be combined with both Loma and CT families. This meeting will be for parents of students currently receiving special education services via Section 504 and IEP.

New Library Resources
Several new virtual resources have recently been added to the Library Websites at both CTE and Loma. Check out the websites to find the student edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica and The Junior Library Guild book stream platform.Tutorials with detailed information on how to navigate these sites will be forthcoming, but in the meantime, both are currently available to use and explore.

CTE Home and School Club News - HSC Board Position
Want to get involved in the school but need an easy way to start? New to the area and want to meet new people? Great news! We have a way for you to get started! The SECRETARY position is a great way to ease into HSC involvement. We meet monthly via zoom on Wednesday's at 3pm. As the secretary, you will record the minutes of the meeting and prepare them to be distributed to board members prior to the next meeting. Virtual Fun Night (Escape Room)
We are kicking off the 2020/21 school year with a Virtual Escape Room (Beat the Lock) Sep 25th. Thanks to the students who have signed up, we were able to book a few rooms for the event. There is space available for a few more students to join in the rooms we have reserved. Deadline to sign up is Sept 23rd, but please sign up NOW to ensure we have space for your student.
Teams will consist of 8-12 people. Students will be placed in rooms with friends in their own grades as well as new friends and work together to BEAT THE LOCK. To reserve a spot, register at https://www.ctehsc.org/shop. Those who register will receive login information on the day of the event via the email that you use to register/pay.
