Hello students and parents,
Welcome to the start of school! I know that this is not the Back To School that we had hoped for. I believe that when we can get together in person, we will all be better learners from this struggle. I look forward to getting to know you virtually and working together.
Thanks,
Señora Grant-Richards

Welcome! ¡Bienvenidos!I am looking forward to getting to know you this year. This is my 13th year teaching at CT. and my 14th in the Loma Prieta District. I taught French and Spanish for 10 years in Los Angeles before coming here. I have my Masters of Education from UCLA. This summer I developed new curriculum with the other fabulous CT teachers, focusing on personalizing curriculum for our students. In the picture with my family, I realized a 25 year goal of visiting the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico: Mayan ruins, jungle, coral reefs, colonial cities, fascinating people, whale sharks, and sea turtles. It was amazing!!! The previous summer I finished participating in the Merit program at the Krause Institute, where I learned a lot about student centered learning, tech and collaboration. I am looking forward to meeting my new students in 7th grade English Language Arts (my first language), 7th grade Social Studies (from Ancient Rome through the Renaissance and around the world) classes, and my 7th and 8th grade Spanish classes (with lot's of stories).
