10 Fun Ways to Learn Snap Words

    1.Word Detective: Have your child look around your house, in books, and in the community for Snap Words.
     
    2. Go Fish: Write the Snap Words on index cards and play a game of Go Fish.
     

    3. Word Wall Hop Scotch: Use chalk to make a Hop Scotch board. Instead of numbers write the Snap Words.

    4. Word Wall Memory: Write the Snap Words on index cards (2 times each). Shuffle. Lay cards face down on table. Take turns turning two over at a time, looking for matches.

    5. Rainbow Writing: Have your child write each word in a rainbow pattern.

    6. Write the Snap Words: Help your child practice writing the words with chalk, finger paint, white boards or on the bathtub wall with soap paints.

    7. Snap Word Flash Cards: Make a set of word wall flash cards and practice them before bed or in the car.

    8. Magnetic Letters: Purchase a set of letter magnets and encourage your child to make Snap Words on the refrigerator.

    9. Read My Back: Use your finger to write Snap Words on your child's back and have them guess the word. Next have them "write" on your back.

    B Bean Bag Toss: Draw big circles on the ground with chalk. Write a Snap Word in each circle. Call out a word and have you child try to toss a bean bag into the corresponding circle.
