Suggested Learning Activities During School Closure

  • Hello students and parents,

Welcome to Phase 2 of our Distant Learning Procedures. I still hope you all are weathering this disruption well and most importantly staying healthy.  I am changing the location of my optional assignments during the school closure from our regular class and homework sharing procedures and am instead putting suggested independent learning activites in this section.  Click on the hyperlink listed below for your class.  I will be posting daily assignements that are no longer optional and ungraded.  I will be looking at all work, and giving a participation grade of Plus=90% or better, Satisfactory=work done to standard, or Minus=work not meeting standard and should be redone.

    Thanks,

    Señora Grant-Richards

About Señora Grant-Richards

  • Señora Grant0Richards    The Spanish Speaking World my family
    Welcome! ¡Bienvenidos!

I am looking forward to getting to know you this year.  This is my 12th year teaching at CT. and my 13th in the Loma Prieta District.  I taught French and Spanish for 10 years in Los Angeles before coming here.  I have my Masters of Education from UCLA.  This summer I developed new curriculum with the other fabulous CT teachers, focusing on personalizing curriculum for our students.  In the picture with my family, I realized a 25 year goal of visiting the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico: Mayan ruins, jungle, coral reefs, colonial cities, fascinating people, whale sharks, and sea turtles.  It was amazing!!! The previous summer I finished participating in the Merit program at the Krause Institute, where I learned a lot about student centered learning, tech and collaboration.  I am looking forward to meeting my new students in 7th grade English Language Arts (my first language), 7th grade Social Studies (from Ancient Rome through the Renaissance and around the world) classes, and my 7th and 8th grade Spanish classes (with lot's of stories).
