Dear Loma Prieta and CT English Parents and Guardians, 
 
Yesterday positive cases were confirmed in Loma Prieta and CT English with individuals that were physically on campus. As a result, the affected individuals have been notified of next steps. Our district is working closely with the Santa Clara County Public Health Department on this matter. 
 
In this instance, no close contacts were identified. 

When we receive confirmation of a positive COVID-19 case, we will not identify the individual involved to ensure their privacy and safety. We understand that it can be disconcerting to not have specific information surrounding the individual; however, it is important that we respect the privacy of our students and staff. At the same time, we want to provide you with as much information as possible.  
 
For specific information on the COVID-19 virus, we recommend reviewing information from the following sources:
 
           Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
           California Department of Public Health
           Santa Clara County Public Health Department

We have all been working to slow the spread of the COVID-19. Please know we are in direct contact with our public health departments regularly and are following all guidelines and directives strictly.
