LPEF received recognition from State Assemblywoman Gail Pellerin for their work supporting our students.

Congratulations to our CTE cross country team on a great season!

Did you know this month is School Bus Safety Month? At the start of the school year, our Transportation Supervisor, Skip Penny, led bus evacuation drills to ensure that our students are prepared in case of an emergency.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, students are about 70 times more likely to get to school safely when taking a bus instead of traveling by car. Thank you to all the school bus drivers and mechanics who help keep students safe on the school bus.
Interested in having your child take the bus? Check out our Transportation Page for more information: https://www.loma.k12.ca.us/page/transportation

Students & staff had a wonderful time at our first School Family event of the year. We celebrated Umunhum's victory from last year, wrapped staff members & 8th graders like mummies, learned our new family chants and bonded within families! We're looking forward to the next event!

We had a great turn out at the CTE cross country meet yesterday!

Today the band director from LGHS, Ken Nakamoto came and talked about the high school band program to a full music room of young band students! What a great experience! Thanks, Mr. Nakamoto!!

Early learning and later life success depends on attending school. There are long-term positive outcomes for youth who attend school each day. Creating routines for strong attendance can help youth avoid chronic absenteeism.

#neverforget

School has begun and attendance is key to student success. Chronic absenteeism is when students miss 10% or more school days of the school year. During the 2020-21 school year, nationwide, there were at least 10.1 million students who were chronically absent.
